So, Dianabol should stack with exogenous testosterone. For this reason, the first ever steroid cycle shouldn’t go with Dianabol, but with Testosterone. After having some experience with testosterone, you could add Dianabol for a much better and enhanced effect for the bulking cycle purposes. Generally, Dbol stacks extremely well with other steroids, that’s why most people do not use it alone, but add it to a steroid cycle stack for getting the best results. Often, at the beginning of the cycle to work as a “kick starter” of the cycle.
Dianabol is coming as pills. Because the half life is extremely short (3-6 hours), it’s best to split your daily dosage into two or even three smaller doses taken throughout the day. This will maintain a consistent level of this steroid in your blood, yielding the best results.

Dosing over 100 mg a day is pure abuse. In fact, anywhere between 70 mg and 100 mg a day is already at a very high risk of side effects. That is basically trading off your health which is not always worth it.
If you notice side effects, reduce the dosage. Remember that it has a short half-life which means that you need to dose it multiple times a day throughout the entire Dianabol cycle. But this comes with the advantage of it quickly leaving the body. This means that if you develop side effects, they are likely to quickly disappear after reducing/stopping their use.
Dianabol Cycle Length
It’s pretty obvious that the longer you use Dianabol, the nastier the side effects can become. That’s especially when talking about the hepatotoxic part. On the other hand, it offers really fast results. For this reason, I don’t recommend using Dianabol for longer than 8 weeks because it’s dangerous and is not effective. It brings results fast, no need to use it for longer periods. If you do, liver damage can become a huge problem.
Because of these reasons, most people actually use it for shorter periods of 4-6 weeks. 4 weeks is for beginners and those who are prone to side effects. Most people, however, use it for 6 weeks. A 6 week Dianabol cycle is the standard maximum recommendation for using Dbol. It’s remaining pretty safe while still delivering amazing results.
Dianabol Cycle
Being an oral steroid that brings fast results, Dbol is the perfect kick starter product that will help you quickly develop awesome gains at the start of the cycle. At the same time, it will be awesome at breaking through plateaus.
These are the two reasons why people use it. That’s why it’s best to use Dianabol only after having previous experience with testosterone first (at least) and after working out and dieting for a while now.
So, the main reasons why would someone use a Dianabol cycle are:
- Kick starting a cycle
- Breaking through a plateau
When talking about kick starting a cycle, Dianabol is going to provide the rapid mass and strength gains you need until the injectable steroids are going to build up in your system. Dianabol will deliver awesome results while the rest of the steroids are building up. Then you stop its use and continue your gains with the rest of the steroids.
Many people also use it to break through a plateau. Usually, they run and add it in the middle (toward the end) of the cycle. Dbol is a powerful compound for breaking through plateaus so you get the best possible results at the end of the cycle. Many add it in order to continue the cycle and continue their results, rather than continuing the cycle with little to no gains.
Remember that injectable steroid cycles are usually way longer, of 12 weeks or even longer. At the same time, the Dianabol cycle should not be over 8 weeks, but most commonly – 6 weeks.
Moreover, it’s essential to remember – do not add any other hepatotoxic steroids while using Dianabol because your liver will suffer way too much. Other liver toxic compounds generally include other oral steroids such as Anavar, Anadrol, or Winstrol steroids.
Standalone Dianabol Cycle
I’ve already said that I do not recommend running a solo Dbol cycle. The suppression of testosterone makes it unworthy and countereffective. Testosterone in your Dianabol cycle is not only going to help you get better results, but it’s also making your cycle safer. Without testosterone hormone, you risk experiencing all low testosterone symptoms which is basically leading to the opposite of what you’re searching for during the cycle.
You could go for Testosterone with long esters such as Enanthate or Cypionate for longer cycles and add Dianabol. Or you could use Testosterone with shorter esters such as Propionate. While you will need to inject it daily or at least every other day, you will get even faster results during an overall short cycle. That’s why I always recommend stacking it with other steroids, at least, with testosterone alone.
- Yet, some people still attempt it.
If you run the Dianabol cycle alone, I do not recommend any more than 6 weeks (due to suppression) but in fact, to keep it safer, better use it for only 4 weeks. I also do not recommend anything over 30-50 mg/day. And in order to keep it safe – 30 mg/day. So, your best bet for a standalone Dianabol cycle is 30 mg a day for 4 weeks along with liver protection supplements and then a PCT plan. But it’s still not as effective and still not as safe.
Women Dianabol Cycle
Women should not use Dianabol at all. While some women still attempt it because of its reduced androgenic activity, it’s still very likely to cause virilizing issues. Additionally, it is highly aromatizable causing further side effects.
Overall, I do not recommend Dianabol for women at all! There are much safer options such as Anavar (Oxandrolone).
If you still, however, want to go for it, your best bet is a Dianabol cycle no longer than 4 weeks with a tiny dosage of 5 mg or an absolute maximum of 10 mg a day. This cycle is still very likely to cause side effects though.
Beginner Dianabol Cycle
By saying “beginner” I’m referring to those people who previously used testosterone and were working out with a clean diet for at least a few months now. These people keep the Dianabol cycle simple with testosterone only and lower doses of both steroids.
The maximum I can recommend for these people is:
- 500 mg a week of Testosterone Enanthate for 12 weeks stacked with the first 6 weeks of 30 mg a day of Dianabol.
Nonetheless, this is the maximum. The dosages and cycle lengths of each of these steroids can be lower. Such as 200-300 mg/week of Testosterone Enanthate for 10 weeks with the first 4 weeks of 10-20 mg/day of Dianabol.
Intermediate Dianabol Cycle
Those who have experience with Dianabol and Testosterone can go for more advanced cycles. This means they could go for higher doses of these compounds and/or longer cycles and/or add other compounds.
One example is:
- 14 weeks with Testosterone Enanthate 750 mg a week with the first 6 weeks of Dianabol 50 mg per day.
Another example could be 500 mg a week of Testosterone (whatever ester you love more) with 300 mg a week of Deca Durabolin or Equipoise for 14 weeks and 40 mg a day of Dianabol for the first 6 weeks.
Professional Dianabol Cycle
Professionals are those people who have lots of experience with steroids and at this point, they are generally huge. Considering they are big, they have experience with steroids and they know how to properly diet, workout, and cycle steroids, they can go for whatever they think will work best for them. Generally, that includes long cycles with multiple steroids such as:
- 16-18 weeks of Testosterone (whatever ester they love more) in a huge dosage of 700-1000 mg per week. They stack it with other injectables such as Deca Durabolin, Trenbolone (whatever ester they love), or Equipoise, or maybe even two of them at the same time. Dosages of these compounds are usually ranging between 400-600 mg per week. And, of course, Dianabol in a dosage of 50-80 mg per day for the first 6-8 weeks.
Hardcore Dianabol Cycle
A hardcore Dianabol cycle looks similar to the one I previously shared but is called “hardcore” because these people tend to add all of those steroids at maximum doses and maximum cycle lengths. In addition to that, they also add Human Growth Hormone (HGH) to that entire blend for as long as they run the cycle or maybe even longer (because you can use HGH for very long periods, unlike steroids). The dosage of HGH is about 4-8 IU a day.
Considering they are running such long cycles, some choose to run two Dianabol cycles in the same cycle. Such as:
Use Dianabol for the first 6 weeks, then have a break for 6 weeks and then add it again until the end of the cycle (total 16-18 weeks).
Dianabol Cycle Conclusion
Remember that Dianabol is highly aromatizable so you need anti-estrogens during whatever cycles. You need to use them whenever you notice high estrogen side effects in the dosage that is the best for you depending on numerous factors. In addition to that, you need liver protection whenever you use the Dianabol cycle and you should have an adequate break in between Dbol cycles to protect your liver too. Plus, you must go through a PCT plan whenever you stop the use of all steroids. You don’t need a PCT only if you continue using exogenous testosterone (such as in TRT or cruising).
Have a proper lifestyle with a proper diet and workout plan because steroids are no magical compounds that help you grow muscle and get stronger out of nothing. And please remember that Dianabol, like any other steroid, comes with its risks of causing side effects. It’s imperative that you learn as much as possible about it, what exactly it is, what to expect from it (both in terms of side effects and benefits) as well as how to correctly run it.
